WE WIN! WE WIN! WE WIN!

Unfortunately, we were blanked the rest of the way, wasting a pair of doubles by Larry Roth, while the Suburban team added single runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth for a 6-3 win.

Down two games to one, the City team came out determined to force a fifth game., scoring three in the second a one in the third before the Suburban team got settled in their seats. Single runs scored in the seventh and eight innings when Travis Frankenfield was sacrificed to second by Jim Van Billiard after he singled, and scored on Tom Hartzell's double. In the eighth doubles by Bob Baer and Bob Schuster produced the final run in a 12-7 victory.

The City team jumped to a 1-0 lead in the second inning of the final game after they loaded the bases on a double by Tom Hartzell, a single by Dick Hacker and a hit by pitch from Bob Filaseta. Bob Schuster laid down a sacrifice to plate the run. We sat and watched as the Suburban team plated five runs in the top of the third. But, we weren’t to be denied! We scored a run in the bottom of the fourth on back-to-back doubles by Dick Hacker and Bob Baer. Then, in he sixth, the City men took the lead for good, scoring six times. Tom Hartzell doubled and scored on Bob Baer’s double. Bob Filaseta then got on with a bunt, and Bob Schuster followed with another sacrifice to plate a run. Dale Mack loaded the bases with a bunt.
