Organization and Staff

Rev. Linda Wisser
Pastor

Pastor Linda is native to the Lehigh Valley where her ministry and her family roots run deep and wide. Prior to accepting the call to serve at East Hills Moravian Church, Linda served on staff with a Moravian congregation in Emmaus, PA. There she directed a ministry of growth and development with the goal of helping people to grow in their discipleship and helping the congregation to grow in their mission and service in the community.  Linda also served as Interim Pastor for a U.C.C. congregation in Bethlehem, PA where she helped that congregation to know and serve their neighbors. Linda wholeheartedly believes that our lives of faith are to be living and growing,  evidenced by a life of loving others in word and action. Congregational life should reflect that growing faith in the lives of her members.

Linda is a graduate of Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, PA (MDiv, 2020; Crossroads Certification, 2015). Her clinical pastoral education was with Penn Foundation in Sellersville, PA where she served as chaplain in an inpatient setting for people struggling with mental health diagnosis and addictions.

Linda and her husband, Matt have shared life together for 32 years (and counting!). They have two young adult children, Lindsay and Dan. Linda enjoys spending time in the great outdoors among God’s good creation. She cherishes time with together with family and friends.

“In faith, hope and love, together with the congregation at East Hills, we seek ‘to know Christ and make Him known’!”

Suzanne Diehl,
Music Director

Sue writes, ‘Hello, my name is Suzanne Diehl.  I serve at East Hills Moravian Church as Music Director.  I have been with EHMC since 1986.  One of my favorite things about working here is the variety of music that we present to the congregation.

I live in Allentown with my husband, Peter.  My hobbies are collecting and playing board games and taking long walks.

Sandy Flannigan,
Administrative Assistant

Hello, my name is Sandy Flannigan and I serve as the Administrative Assistant for East Hills Moravian Church.

I’ve been married for 27 years to my husband Pat and have two sons, Ryan and Sean.  I am an Elder at my own church and have served as Chairman of Christian Education, a member of the Buildings and Grounds Committee and the Pastoral Search Committee, and volunteer as the slide creator for our projection in the sanctuary.

I graduated from Moravian College and worked at AT&T for 28 years.  After leaving AT&T, I struggled with what I wanted to do going forward.  I enjoy helping people and wanted to do something that allowed me to feed my need to be in service to God.  When I found the administrative assistant job opening for East Hills in early 2020, I felt that this was a sign from God that I should apply.

It would allow me to serve God, support people and I already had a link to Moravians from my college experience.  I was so happy to get this job.  I really enjoy working with the staff and the congregation here.

Everyone is nice and so appreciative.  I’m very impressed with all the missions and the number of people involved.  It makes my heart happy.  I truly feel that God has guided me to the right job for me.
