BE PREPARED! Get trained and certified to provide CPR! We are offering an American Heart Association Heartsaver AED Class on Saturday, May 14, from 8 am to noon. Cost will be $20, and some scholarships will be available if needed. For further information, or to sign up for the class, contact Susan Kriebs at skriebs@verizon.net, or 610-867-5971. Class size is limited, so sign up soon!

According to the American Heart Association, the steps to take are:

Check for responsiveness; if no response, call 911 (and request AED) Open airway; check for normal breathing Give 2 breaths; then 30 chest compressions Repeat sets of 2 breaths and 30 chest compressions When AED arrives, turn ON and follow commands.

Our EHMC AED is easy to use, and provides all appropriate commands. Its specific use will be taught at our CPR class. Plan to become certified. If our class fills and there is sufficient demand, another class will be scheduled.
